This Belgian-style tripel from the Netherlands' La Trappe abbey is bright gold with a fluffy head and aromas of honey, pear and gentle pepper. The palate is rich yet drinkable, weaving malt sweetness, spicy yeast and orchard fruit before a dry, warming 8% finish hides its strength well. Pair with grilled seafood, poultry or a soft washed-rind cheese.
