Brewed in the abbey tradition, this Belgian strong dark ale pours deep amber-brown with aromas of raisin, plum and caramel malt. The palate is rich and smooth, layering dark-fruit sweetness over a peppery yeast warmth into a long, dry finish. Best enjoyed slowly with aged cheese, dark chocolate or roasted meats.
