One of the most revered Belgian beers, this Trappist quadrupel pours near-black with an opulent nose of fig, date, dark caramel and leather. Astonishingly smooth for its strength, it unfolds layers of dark fruit and warming spice into a long, port-like finish, and ages magnificently. Sip slowly with blue cheese or dark chocolate.
